PRÉSENTATION
La Kitchen, a créée Square~ une installation musicale temps réel, dans le cadre du festival de la Cité interactive, Contact, d’ Issy les Moulineaux, qui a eu lieu en octobre dernier.
Un jardin public est investi par le collectif de compositeurs, ils redéfinissent un nouvel espace d’écoute et transforment l’identité du lieu. Le passant déambule d’un espace à l’autre, son parcours dans le jardin structure sa propre expérience auditive et les sons qu’il produit sont réutilisés dans la composition.
Coût de l’opération telle qu’elle :
environ 2 000 euros pour la reprise du projet et la remise à niveau technique de l'installation (2 jours) + environ 4 000 euros de location de matériel (informatique, audio, technique...) pour 10 jours.
Coût pour le développement d'une installation interactive dans le même esprit que square~ :
- commande artistique, variable suivant l'ampleur du projet
entre 5 000 et 15 000 euros.
- partie technique (installation, location du matériel)
entre 3 000 et 10 000 euros.
- délais : 30 jours pour la préparation et la réalisation de l'installation, + 2 jours d'installation technique.

La Kitchen created Square~, a real-time musical installation – as part of the
Interactive City festival Contactwhich took place in Issy les Moulineaux in
October.
A group of composers transform the identity of a public garden and redefine
it as a new music space. As the passer-by wanders from one area to the next,
his path through the garden creates a unique listening experience and the
sounds produced are fed back into the overall composition.
Operating costs of such a project:
Approximately 2000 Euros for start-up costs and updating of the technology
(2 days) and approximately 4000 Euros for the hire of material (IT, audio,
technical) for 10 days.
Development costs for an interactive project such as Square:
Artistic direction, depending on the size of the project, between 5000 and
10,000 Euros.

- time scale: 30 days to create the installation plus 2 days set-up
